On June 29 this year The Ordinary General Meeting & Information and Promotional Meeting (IPM) of the Association took place at the SPA FALTOM hotel in Rumia. The assembly began with a minute of silence for the late Dr. Eng. Master Mariner, prof. UMG Bogumił Łączyński , who from the very establishment of the Association (January 2015) actively supported its activities.

During the Meeting, resolutions were adopted, among others: adoption of the report of the Management Board and the Audit Committee, the financial report of the Association for the yerar 2022, on granting discharge to the Management Board and the Audit Committee, elections to the Management Board and the Audit Committee were also held.

Management Board for the term 2023-2025 was elected by the General Meeting in the following composition:

• Mr. Dariusz Jellonnek – as President of the Management Board (re-election);
• Mr. Paweł Kmieciak (I term), Mr. Cezary Łuczywek (re-election);, Mr. Iwona Paterka (re-election); and Mr. Andrzej Pilarski (re-election) for the position of members of the Management Board

The Audit Committee for the term 2023-2025 was elected by the General Meeting in the following composition:

Mr. Łukasz Skrzypczak (to the position of Chairman – re-election) and Ms. Justyna Szawelska (re-election)

Setting sights for the future, PSCA had made changes to its Statute to ensure the possibility of remote meetings also during the post-pandemic era.

The General Meeting expressed its thanks to Mr. Michał Czerepaniak for function of Member of the Management Board continuously for 5 years (from 2018 to 2023) and Attorney at Law Mr. Michał Rzeszewicz, for his great substantive contribution to the creation of the Polish Ship Managers Association (2014-2015) and in daily work of the Association from 2015 to 2023 (including from 2019 as  member of the advisory body – the Council of the Association).

Being acutely aware of the importance of substantive support in promotional activities in the country and abroad, as well as legislative activities and defense of the interests of the shipping community – the General Meeting also resolved to increase the number of members of the advisory body – Council of the Association by electing Mr. Inacio Golebski, Attorney-at-law  Grzegorz Kuligowski, Attorney-at-law Tomasz Naratowski and Professor Dorothy Pyć .

Therefore, the Council of the Association consists of 9 people  (for the first time since March 2019).

After the end of the General Meeting, the Information and Promotion Meeting started. Special Guest Mr. Wolfgang Grohe (Technical Sales & Business Development Manager, Lubricants and Oils at Wilhelmsen Ships Service) gave a presentation “New Era of Bio-Lubricants and Greases”, in which he presented i.a. prospects for the development of biodegradable oils.

The meeting ended with a traditional dinner attended by Members, Supporting Members and invited Guests.

The next General Meeting & Information and Promotion Meeting is scheduled to take place in autumn.
