On January 14th, Polish Shipping Companies Association held a Jubilee Meeting to commemorate the 10th anniversary of its founding. The meeting was held in the conference room of DNV Poland sp. z o.o.
The meeting was attended by large number of members of the PSCA Community, joined by number of distinguished guests [from the Polish Shipowners’ Association (ZAP), Association of Polish Maritime Industries FORUM OKRĘTOWE, Polish Chamber of Maritime Commerce(KIGM)]. The anniversary speeches were delivered by the President of the Management Board, Mr. Dariusz Jellonnek, the Honorary President of the Association (main founder and first President of the Management Board between 2015-2019) Mr. Ireneusz Kuligowski and the Secretary, Mr. Radosław Stefaniak.
The Association was established on January 15th, 2015 under the name Polish Ship Managers’ Association (PSMA) by 10 companies performing economic activity in the field of ship management.
Today, the Association includes among its Members both shipowners and ship managers, it brings together numerous Supporting Members operating in various branches of the maritime economy, it brings together (within the PSCA Community) competent professionals & experts from various fields of maritime economy.
Over the last 10 years, Members, Supporting Members and the rest of the PSCA Community have managed to make a significant contribution to the development of the Polish maritime economy through (among other activities) joining ECSA (European Community Shipowners’ Associations) together with the Polish Shipowners’ Association (both forming the Polish Shipping Association), joining the employers’ side of the Tripartite Group, drafting comprehensive legislative proposals (such as the Polish Flag Project), voicing opinions and statements regarding draft legal proposals, development of initiatives in the field maritime education, research and promotion of shipping business both in Poland and abroad.
We look forward to welcoming you on our further voyage – focused on creating favorable conditions for conducting business in Poland by shipping companies (both shipowners & ship managers) as well as other stakeholders.
