“Sea – education, work, chance for a good future” start of the S/Y “Baltic Beauty” cruise

On June 23rd, 2024, the S/Y “Baltic Beauty” cruise officially started from the Molo-Marina in Sopot (shipowner: Dom Armatorski Polsail sp. z o.o. – CEO: Mrs. Justyna Szawelska), in which 14 young people under guardianship participate as part of the “Sea – education, work, chance for a good future” program.

This program was initiated by Polsail, the National Council of Court-Appointed Custodians, the Maritime Heritage Foundation from Gdańsk and the Association for the Development of Children, Youth and Family “Helpful Hand” from Racibórz. The initiators and promoters of the project are:

  • Mrs. Aneta Marczak-Cywińska (District Curator – District Court in Rybnik)
  • Mrs. Justyna Szawelska – President of the Management Board of Dom Armatorski POLSAIL sp. z o.o.

Polish Shipping Companies Association (represented during the event by the Secretary – Mr. Radosław Stefaniak) took patronage and supported this initiative from the very beginning.

The beginning of the cruise was also attended by other distinguished guests: Mayor of Sopot, Mrs. Magdalena Czarzyńska-Jachim, MPs Jacek Karnowski and Piotr Głowski (Parliamentary Committee for Maritime Economy and Inland Navigation) as well as President of the Maritime Women Association – INSPIRA Mrs. Izabela Klonowska-Hincka. 

The S/Y Baltic Beauty cruise will conclude (after 10 days) with the visit to the Maritime School Complex in Kolobrzeg.
